Brewery Installation at the Salt Beer Factory
TEP have recently completed the installation of a complete brewery at the Salt Beer Factory, a modern brewery located in the former Tramsheds in the heart of World Heritage Site - Saltaire.
The complex installation process was a co-ordinated effort, involving no fewer than 3 technicians who expertly manoeuvred the equipment to its new home on the brewery floor.
Naturally, these pieces of equipment would not be straightforward to move, requiring precise co-ordination from everyone involved. A number of challenges were successfully overcome, starting with offloading the brewery plant from their shipping containers using a forklift truck, and lifting them to the first-floor entrance of the brewery building.
In order for the operation to be carried out as efficiently as possible, the frame around the main entrance had to be removed, allowing the 4 metre height tanks to be carefully wheeled horizontally into the main building.
Once inside the brewery, we completed the final stages of the project using two forklift trucks to lift the tanks upright and moving the tanks to their final position, a fantastic result to another ambitious project for TEP.
